Every artist has a specialty that sets them apart from the pack. Brian’s signature style is creating enormous sculptures out of balloons. We call these crazy feats of stamina and engineering “Super-Sculptures.” Brian began making them as Vacation Bible School projects and gifts years ago. As he became more adept at designing sculptures and leading groups of volunteers, Brian started traveling the country, creating enormous installations for colleges, corporations and corporate events. He often travels to universities, working with student volunteers to create 15 foot tall college mascots for their big events, then stays to entertain afterward.
Brian’s largest project to date was creating an enormous dragonfly sculpture. This 88 foot sculpture at the Indiana State Museum took over 400 crew hours and broke the world record for the largest modelling balloon sculpture in the world (team.) Since then, Brian and Christina have created a full size TIE fighter and flown it from a hot air balloon, built a full-size dinosaur, and traveled all over the country creating enormous designs from airplanes to elephants, Vikings to teddy bears.
Super Sculptures can be a great team-building exercise. Corporate, student or ministry volunteers can work alongside skilled artists by inflating, tying and even weaving sections of the sculpture while Brian and his team handle the details and direct the project. In many cases, an enormous sculpture can be created in a single day.
