  • What is the difference between Banzi Balloons and Pretty Funny Balloons?

We are one company with two different brands. We named our entertainment company Pretty Funny Balloons because Christina is pretty and Brian is funny. We use this name for all our entertainment and large-scale sculptures. When we purchased Banzi Balloons in 2020, it was already Indiana’s largest balloon décor company and had an established customer base and website, so we decided to use the Banzi name for all our balloon décor. Whether you’re looking for entertainment, decorations, or both, you’ll be working with the same dedicated team, led by Brian and Christina Getz.

  • How far do you travel?

We’re happy to make giant sculptures and entertain all over Indiana and beyond. With our busy schedule it isn’t always feasible to travel long distances on our busiest days. When we travel outside Indianapolis and the nearby suburbs, we charge $1.50 per mile from our studio, so travel to Anderson would be $45, while Fort Wayne would be around $140.

  • How did you start making balloons?

Brian got a kit for Christmas one year and balloon twisting quickly became a fun hobby. It grew to be a fun job during college and after his Master’s studies, he decided to make it a full-time career, gradually adding balloon décor and learning more and more.

Christina learned face painting and balloons at the Fellowship of Christian Magicians conference her family attended growing up. That’s where she met Brian and they’ve been a team ever since.

  • Do you still offer Balloon Décor?

We sure do! In fact, we are Indiana’s largest provider of balloon décor. We have a separate website, “Banzi Balloons” with online ordering, customization and a whole sales team ready to help guide you through the process and get the perfect decorations for your event.

  • What do I need to supply for your event?

We have self-contained balloon bags, pumps, and face painting kits that have everything we need to entertain at your event. If you can provide a small table and a couple chairs, that’s all we really need. If your event is outdoors, we ask that you place entertainment in the shade of a tree or tent. This helps us stay comfortable, but also keeps the balloons and face paints cool so they work better.

  • What is your favorite balloon to make?

Brian’s favorite designs are huge sculptures like a full-size dinosaur, a 15 foot mascot or 30 foot rocket. When he's entertaining with balloons, he enjoys making complex sculptures and designs that set him up for tons of jokes.

Christina likes making animals and hats. The cuter a balloon is, the more she enjoys it.
